Parker's 2-way seat valves are pilot-operated, two-way directional valves actuated by low-leakage solenoids. In the de-energized state, these valves function similarly to a check valve, blocking flow in one direction with minimal leakage (5 drops per minute, or less). When the solenoid is energized, they allow flow to pass.

These valves are typically selected for their low-leakage characteristics and their ability to meet high-flow requirements. Seat valves are commonly used for single-acting actuators or unloading functions. They are available as normally closed (NC) or normally open (NO), allow free flow in the reverse direction, and offer a quick response type option.
