Parker GTP02340901N proportional pressure reducing valve enables electrically regulated pressure reduction to protect system components and facilitate force and torque control. Paired with a wide range of Parker solenoid coil options, this proportional pressure reducing/relief valve is suitable for demanding working conditions and diverse industries, including hydraulic power units, oil and gas equipment, material handling machinery, construction machinery, drilling rigs, presses, mixers, agricultural machinery, balers, combine harvesters, control circuits for double-acting hydraulic cylinders and bidirectional hydraulic motors, circuit selection systems and slide axial mechanisms.

Parker GTP02340901N pressure reducing and relief valve adopts a spool-type design, featuring one inlet port, one pressure reducing outlet port and one return port. When high pressure is supplied to the inlet port, adjusting the current of the solenoid coil allows the pressure reducing outlet to deliver a proportional pressure lower than the inlet pressure. With no current input, the pressure reducing outlet is unloaded to the fuel tank and the inlet port is closed by the spool.

Upon receipt of a signal current, the spool displaces and the valve port opens. It throttles the fluid flowing from the inlet to the pressure reducing outlet to maintain a stable outlet pressure; the higher the input current, the higher the reduced pressure. If the outlet pressure exceeds the commanded pressure, excess pressure will be relieved to the fuel tank.

The solenoid coils are available in AC and DC versions with various electrical connection interfaces. Given temperature variations of the coils, a pulse-width modulation (PWM) valve amplifier with current control is recommended for regulation. This type of amplifier can also generate dither signals at specific frequencies.
