Parker 0740059ECD True Ground Speed Sensor is an accessory within the Parker product line designed for electronic control systems. Parker 0740059ECD sensor adopts Doppler beam technology to calculate the true ground speed and transmits relevant data via frequency signals. The TGSS series is applicable to vehicles and other equipment operating at a stable supply voltage of ≤16 Vdc. Standard commercial versions of the sensor come with a short cable fitted with either an AMP Superseal connector or a Deutsch DT series connector.

Product Features & Working Principle of Parker TGSS Series

PARKER TGSS series features an ABS plastic housing that delivers robust mechanical performance and excellent corrosion resistance. Equipped with a flat antenna and leveraging the Doppler effect principle, the TGSS series sensor ensures trouble-free long-term operation. Microwave signals emitted by the sensor bounce off target surfaces and are reflected back to the sensor unit. The true ground speed is derived by measuring the resulting frequency shift. Two microwave carrier frequency options are available for configuration: a standard frequency variant, and a special variant compliant with UK local specifications.

The Parker 0740059ECD radar sensor is mounted underneath vehicles via dedicated brackets, and it can be oriented to face either forward or backward. It is widely deployed in agricultural machinery applications.
